@musicscore625, Pillowfort has a very different design, so aesthetic-wise, it would probably look very different. I haven’t dug deeply enough in their blog customisation options so it’s possible that it would still look the same, but at the very least the functionality would be the same. The good thing about Pillowfort is not only does it have the like/reblog feature, posts have full discussion options. Whereas in Tumblr where you can only leave a reply and/or use the reblog feature to keep the discussion going, Pillowfort has full threaded discussions.

Another option I’m thinking is WordPress. It already has a Tumblr import plugin and of all the blogging software out there, it’s the most mature and developed. The only problem with it is, since it’s very popular, blogs that run it are usually targets of bots (I know this personally since I maintain two work-related blogs that run it). There’s also the fact that I’d have to host it on my own server which adds to the headache of constantly monitoring CPU loads, etc. We could use a WordPress.com account (they allow free blogs), but I’m not too keen to find out what their content policies are. Even though our bordello isn’t hardcore as other NSFW blogs, it’s still NSFW, so hosting it on our own server and not worrying about being banned can be quite alluring (not to mention we’d have full control on how the blog would look like).

At the moment, it seems that WordPress is the better choice. I want Pillowfort to take off and be The Fandom Place™, but until most fandoms (if not the big ones) switch there, then Tumblr would still remain the status quo IMO. :
