Hi there! Not a confession, but I see there’s been anon hate going round the AC fandom at the minute, particularly kink shaming. I just want to say to the patrons here, NEVER let anyone shame you about something you like, whether it be sexual or not. Anon hate is for cowards. Enjoy yourselves ladies and gents, for life is too short. Have sex, be spanked, confess your sins. There is no shame in what you are doing. People with high sex drives and kinks are normal. NEVER let anyone shame you.

Your words are very humbling, my dear anon. We have always strived for La Rosa in Fiore to be a respite from fandom troubles. While we certainly had our own share of drama in the past, we try to learn from our past mistakes. It is a work in progress, and my experience with other fandoms compels me to be very careful with the AC fandom. I have seen, shall we say, enough fandom wank to last an entire lifetime. Before the days of blogging platforms, when we would join alt newsgroups, or join mIRC chats, or even make our own fan pages in GeoCities or Tripod to connect with other fans… fandom drama was sadly almost always the common denominator.

It saddens me a lot, because as I grew older I’ve come to really appreciate fandom as a way to destress and to “center” myself when real life is becoming too difficult to deal with. It should be a place of acceptance and freedom, and yet… 😔 This is frankly why we keep this bordello up and running. It’s not perfect, but seeing grateful patrons such as you tell us that we are heading towards the right direction.

@scarlettrosas sadly, this is the fate of every Assassin’s Creed protagonist. They may have a long story arc like Ezio’s, but the ending is never a “happy ever after.” Frankly, I still feel bitter that Ezio has three games (and a short film) that showed his growth. However, everyone else only has one game to their name, so we never really have a proper farewell to them.

Syndicate was different in terms that the ending DID feel like a “happy ever after”……. until they released the Jack the Ripper DLC. ಥ_ಥ That said, I completely understand what you’re going through. I felt a lot of anger and hurt when I found that Ubisoft had no plans to continue Connor’s story, for example. This was the main catalyst why I gave up on the franchise. I just couldn’t bear the heartbreak. So, for 2 years I didn’t want to play the games. I didn’t want to do anything with the franchise all together. This was the time I considered leaving the bordello to someone who was still a fan. I mean, why continue moderating a blog in a fandom/franchise I grew dissatisfied with?

When Syndicate (and mostly Jacob lol) drew me back in, I think my experience with AC3 and Connor made me realise that I should treat each game and each protagonist as a chapter in my gamer book. I don’t know how long the chapter will go, but I know it’s just *a* chapter, and one day, I’ll be writing a new chapter with a new protagonist or even a new game all together. It’s sad, but let me put it this way: You can always go back to the previous chapters and enjoy them again. Heck, I found that being away from a game for a while and then going back to it is an immensely enjoyable experience! It’s like re-discovering an old love of your life and remembering why you love them so much. ❤️

My life has literally fallen apart. Because of this, I will not be sending any confessions in for a while, until I am back on my feet. I still read everyone else’s confessions though. Also, Connor is no longer my favourite, everyone’s favourite Jacob is. I hope to be back to writing confessions, but I need to take care of myself, and my mental well-being first.

Please take care of yourself first and foremost, my dear. Fandoms and places like this can only do so much; they can help you forget, but sometimes they can get rather toxic to anyone who’s vulnerable. So please focus on yourself right now and please do not hesitate to seek help. I personally know how difficult it is to ask for help especially when you have a strong front to maintain, but it is during these difficult times that we find our most treasured friends and loved ones.

If you are referring to those confessions that ship characters of the same gender, then we do not have control on what they say. We accept and reject confessions in accordance with our rules, and we do minimal edits on the content of the confession.

You may be addressing this to the fandom as a whole, so we are publishing your message for everyone to see. We encourage people to discuss about this politely and calmly.
