DACS Greatest Hits

October 29, 2016

We have done it, our patrons! In what is truly a historic moment in this bordello’s history, we have reached 1,000 confessions for a single character – and Signore Paul Amos has left us a message about this milestone! (Much love and thanks to @sakura-kagurazaka for informing him about this ♥)

We do wonder if we can get it to two thousand let alone a HUNDRED thousand. That’s a very tall order. An astronomical task, even. But if there’s one thing that this fandom has taught us it’s how it always finds a way to surprise us. 😉

May this also serve as a challenge for the others to send in their confessions about their favourite characters to try and beat this record. Who knows – maybe your favourite would reach the impossible 100,000 mark. 😉

As always, grazie mille for your support and never-ending enthusiasm! Here’s to the next milestone! :3

Love,
~ From all of us at La Rosa in Fiore

About Reposting & Not Crediting

September 27, 2016

Ciao a tutti!

The mentioned problem above is not a new one. Reposting and not giving proper credit drives every artist mad as hell. Just ask any artist you encounter.

This post is kind of a callout and a reminder to the lovely and beloved fandom we vowed to serve with our utmost might and dedication, because the Assassin’s Creed fandom is known to repost a lot without doing proper crediting.

You find a fanart/edit/fanwork of choice/etc. and love it to bits! This is great and we are happy to see how much appreciation the artist gets.

Yet there’s a problem: How to show it.

Well, actually it isn’t. It is super simple. Give the original post from the artist a heart, a reblog or a redirection link via Twitter or anything similar.  Do save the fanwork, use it for private matters like a desktop wallpaper or some sorts.

But there’s a hidden, yet obvious rule among artists and their followers: Do not repost.

If you found the picture on a fanblog that did not credit the fanwork as well, then do a reverse Google Image search (it’s super easy)! Like so:

image
image

The results will likely give you the source you’re looking for. However, if you can’t find the source, then you can ask anyone active on Tumblr about it. You may even ask us! We’re always willing to help other fans out!

Now there’s another reason why we made this mod post: We have observed a few of our followers, fans and sinners, and found not only our confessions but also art from the admins themselves reposted, heavily edited without proper credit either on fan blogs here on Tumblr or even on Instagram.

image

As you may imagine, we are quite disappointed about this. Our edits may be simple confessions, but having to see them reposted elsewhere is perturbing, even more so when it’s an actual fanart by us and we see them re-edited to fit the reposter’s needs.

Therefore we have laid down a few guidelines for those that cherish the editing the admins here on the DACS do:

  • Do not repost
  • Do not re-edit ** If you only wish to get a copy of the original screenshot we used for the edit because you wish to edit it yourself, and you don’t see a credit link, you are very much welcome to leave us a message and ask us about it. We will happily share it with you!

If you still decide to ignore our plea:

  • Please post a proper link back to this blog.
  • The link isn’t difficult.
  • It’s still dirtyasscreedsecrets.tumblr.com.
  • Simple as that.

We know we can’t control the urges of people to repost elsewhere, so we only wish that at the very least, please give a proper credit and link back to this blog.

Molte grazie for your understanding!

Hey ladies and gents, I honestly love this blog, but unfortunately I have to say, that I find the confessions about Jack the Ripper disturbing. He WAS a real serial killer after all, even though he was never found. He killed, tortured and mutilated women in the most terrible way and so he shouldn´t be an object of sexual fantasies, if you ask me. No matter if he was part of the game or not, I can´t understand how somebody can actually fantasize about him. Sorry, that I have to say that.

June 20, 2016

We are posting today to let our wonderful bordello guests know about a rule change here at the Rosa in Fiore. We hope those of you directly affected by this change will read beyond the change to understand why we have made it, and will continue to support us.

As of this posting, we will no longer accept Jack the Ripper submissions, or any submissions that involve abusive scenarios. Any previously sent before this posting will run through the queue.

It is very important for us, as moderators, to maintain Dirty Assassin’s Creed Secrets as a safe place for people to explore their sexuality without judgement or shame. We are not making the change to the rules in an attempt to shame or judge our hybristophiles, which is how Jack the Ripper confessions are classified. This change in the rules is not an attack on you, your sexuality, or what makes your juices flow.

However, a safe place is a two-way street. We have received some feedback, in addition to the one we have shared above, from some of our viewers expressing discomfort with Jack the Ripper confessions. What Jack the Ripper did more than a century ago in Whitechapel was horrific and awful.

While we know those who write confessions about Jack are not thinking about how he carved up his victims, some of our readers, including one of us here amongst the moderators, are survivors of sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse and spousal abuse. Every time a confession involving Jack comes up, they think about what he did, how what happened in our own lives mirrors what Jack did.

For them, lustful confessions about Jack the Ripper being persuaded to not kill the confessor and bruises being worth it is not only discomforting, it is triggering.

When we, as moderators, try to balance out a safe place for our Jack the Ripper confessors and those negatively affected by the confessions, the scale weighs in favour of those adversely affected. Not sharing Jack the Ripper confessions hurts no one, while sharing them can actually cause upset or emotional trauma.

Again, we cannot emphasize enough that this is not a judgement against those of our confessors who lean toward hybristophilia. Nor do we think any of us here behind the curtain, or our guests, believe our hybristophiles want to cause emotional harm to our guests – and in fact, would be appalled to know they may have done so.

In the end, however, we’ve decided to elect to be on the more cautious side, and we hope that you, our patrons, will understand our decision.

For those whose confessions will no longer be posted, we say this: You are not alone in your desires. There’s a term for it, after all. In fact, here’s a link to a Tumblr group for hybristophiles. Read at your own risk. We are not partners with this blog.

As a final note, we ask that if you are going to comment on this post, whether in favour or against this decision, you remain respectful. Those who are in favour should not shame those who are affected by this decision.

Thank you,
The ladies and gent of Rosa in Fiore

Hiya, devoted fans, Rosa and Claudia apologize for the delay for the final installment of census results. But, we sat down and hammered out the rest. Below the break, you’ll be able to find out about our readers’ DACS and Haystack habits. Read on and sin on, friends!
