As Shay’s birthday approaches I prepare a celebration inviting all his templar friends but then the sad news comes from Haytham that his ship The Morrigan sank during a battle. So that party is canceled but my family has another party planned on that day. I’m still mourning for Shay and I hardly smile during this event. All of a sudden a courtier comes in and speaks with Haytham. He just smiles my way, motioning me to follow him but I barely take two steps when the doors open and Shay walks in.
I ignore all the eyes on me and run toward Shay with tears of joy dripping down my cheeks and hug him real tight as if it’s a dream and he is going to disappear again. He hugs me back and whispers things like “It’s alright” and “I’m here now” to calm me down. Later that night when everyone seemingly forgot about that little event, Shay and I sneak out of the party and go to his place. We have some fun 😏 I congratulate him on his birthday and we go another round. Of course in both rounds he gets to do whatever he wants since that poor baby’s been through a lot. The rest of the night goes by as we cuddle and tell each other how much we love one another. The next day I give him his gift, a pair of brand new pistols I’ve had ready for like a few weeks. Happy birthday to this gorgeous and fearless man who puts what’s right above any creed or brotherhood!
