Assassin’s Creed II

The cellar was a spacious room with nothing but shelves on all sides, filled with tainted glass bottles of wine. Besides the owner and I, there was another customer in the room too. I did not pay much mind to him for it was not odd seeing someone else in here. However, what was odd about him was his attire: only white robes and heavily armed. A guard?

“Anything new will be located here in the first three shelves. Everything else are the regular signatures and local favorites. Please, pick out as much as you would like.”

“Sí, grazie.”

After that, the room went silent and my walk around the glass gallery began. Red, bold, light, fruity and earthy. For tonight’s purpose of getting drunk, I picked a bottle with the highest amount of alcohol and one of the newer recipes the brewer mentioned for support. As I extended my hand to grab the neck of the bottle, his hand gently grazed past mine. The guard’s. Quickly, I retracted my hand and looked over to my left. When he moved to my side, I could not say. I must have been lost in my thoughts again.

“Mi dispiace signore. The bottle is yours.”

As I apologized, the male chuckled, moved his hand to rest on his hip and turned his profile to see me.

“No need to apologize bellissima.”

It was not the cheesy compliment that made me speechless. No, I have heard plenty of those back in my primal days. I paid no attention to his words actually. It was his gorgeous appearance that really made me doubt his profession as a guard. For one, he wore no helmet. I was able to distinguish how well-groomed both his brown, neck length hair and facial hair was, the fairness in the coloring of his skin tone, the glimmer of interest in his dark brown eyes, and the playfulness in his smile despite how much he has already aged.
