Jacob ∙ Frye | jākäb ∙ frī |

Etymology: Jacob meaning “seizing by the heel.” Frye has two possible sources. The first is as a nickname or status name from the Old English pre 7th Century word ‘freo’ or ‘frig’ meaning ‘free (born)’ i.e., not a serf, and not belonging to a lord. The second origin is from another nickname, this time for a small person from the Middle English word ‘fry’ meaning offspring, or small person.

Jacob Frye, defined by some as human disaster, is analogous to having conflicting emotions about someone, e.g.: “He drives me crazy I don’t know whether to give him a kiss that’s full of sin or give him a kick in the shins. I suppose he’s a Jacob Frye.”

Jacob Frye can also be used as an insult when responding to a false statement such as, “I think you just can’t bear to let a gorgeous guy like me out of your sight.” The response can be worded as such: “I don’t know where you get your delusions, Jacob Frye.”

In Tagalog, Jacob Frye is synonymous to makalaglag panti.

  • Jacob Frye, a man with many responsibilities, but avoids taking care of them, e.g.: “You were supposed to pay the rent, not go out drinking, Jacob Frye!”

Pretty much this entire sequence. Because of course Jacob messes things up and Evie has to clean up after him. I really wanted to kick him in the shins for being such an ineffective assassino.

This whole Michel Reuge’s scenes nearly killed me when I first saw them. Evie’s so damn excited, as if it were Christmas (Assassin Christmas) and then there’s Jacob… clueless, and this particular moment, sold Jacob to me (ahem). A lovely summary of their personalities in the whole game.

Regarding your question I must admit, that I love Jacob – with his unknown wife? To know that Lydia is his granddaughter gave me so much inspiration and happy thoughts about a domestic life – or the angry British sex that occurs in their bedroom

Don’t forget, that Jacob is a Scorpio, hurrdurr. 
They tend to have really… intense… activitities in… bed. 😉

Ah, you see, I’ve been in several fandoms (both big and small) that are passionate about pairings to the point that there have been many infighting about them. Only a few ended with both sides wiser. So, now, I rarely ship anyone in a fandom and if I do I take great care not to reveal it.

But to answer your question – no, I don’t ship anyone in Syndicate. That doesn’t mean that I don’t want to hear about other people’s ships, though. 🙂

Frankly, mio caro, I don’t really ship anyone as of yet. I do admit, however, I like the idea of signore Green and dama Frye being together. But, I do reserve my opinion of ships, as I know people get very passionate with them.

Barring the strange confession or two I find most of them normal, but then I may be so accustomed to hearing such dirty confessions. It would take quite a confession to send this old lady blushing (and there were admittedly a few). 😉

There are some that warms my heart to hear, maybe a few that leaves me reaching for my fan. And then there are the ones that tend to tread more into embarrassing territory, where I either have my eyes rolling or it leaves me laughing.
