If the Assassins were living today and had to perform one song on stage (I don’t necessarily mean stripping), what do you think it would be? Or in case that’s too hard to answer, what kind of music in general would they enjoy and be likely to perform? I know it’s a weird question, sorry… But I’d be happy if you could answer it :)

Altaïr: I’m thinking he’d do something similar to that sort of Middle Eastern chant you hear in the morning, like in a mosque or an Eastern Orthodox church, but a little more modern. So maybe something kinda like him doing a cover of Dead Can Dance songs or just Lisa Gerrard.

Connor: Anything by Nickels and Bones, no questions asked. I mean Noah Watts’s singing voice? That’s literally Connor’s right there~

Edward: Sea shanties, of course. Although he’d probably go all Celtic punk with it lol

Arno: He’d do the whole romantic French guy full on aha. He’d do a romantic rock cover of C’est Si Bon~

Jacob: Dangerous Game from Jekyll & Hyde, the musical. He’d do the whole sexual touchy-felly Mr. Hyde act on stage, too, with whomever the poor unfortunate soul is on stage with him. XD

Shao Jun: This song from Mulan sorry I can’t resist. XD

Aveline: Sorry to pick another Disney song, but I have to~ Aveline would sing something from The Princess and the Frog.

Rebecca Crane: Something by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

Ezio: Minstrel songs…in the minstrel outfit….

This may reveal my musical interests (and my old age oh my goodness) more than anything, so I hope you don’t mind, my dearest anon!

Desmond: Take On Me by A-Ha. Idk I just see him as someone who would love to sing 80′s songs. And you know he can totally reach that high note. XD

Altaïr: Killer by Adamski & Seal. That bass and beat is something a Master Assassin would want to accompany him while he’s stalking his target tbh.

Ezio: Just Another Day by Jon Secada. Imagine that husky Italian-accented voice singing an acoustic version of this song, mwahaha.

Connor: Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins. I totally see him loving Top Gun tbh. ~/o/ Alternatively, a male rendition of Hello by Adele. The feels, oh my God. I mean, you don’t even need to have a sad backstory to accompany this; just hearing Connor sing it is heartbreaking. ;A;

Aveline: Dangerous by Roxette. Hey, if she and Connor would share the stage she would totally sing this. 8D

Edward: The Wild Boys by Duran Duran. Chorus might be a little too high for him, but I think he’d totally kill it. 8D

Adéwalé: The Unforgiven by Metallica. The somber tone fits him, personally.

Shay: Another One Bites The Dust by Queen. I can totally see him singing this while slaying those damned Assassins in their weekly Assassin VS Templar karaoke nights. *coughs*

Haytham: You Know My Name by Chris Cornell. Yes, a James Bond theme for our most James Bond-like character in the AC universe. Ehem. And idek I think Haytham would look AWESOME in those opening credits (which is still my favourite to this day goddamn)

Arno: Stay (Faraway, So Close!) by U2. Another somber tone (with a bit of an existentialism) that fits him, IMO. Alternatively, Angels By Robbie Williams.

Shao Jun: Rush, Rush by Paula Abdul. I don’t even have an explanation, I just want her to sing this. XD;

Arbaaz: Gold By Spandau Ballet. I just want him to sing something inspiring tbh. XD;

Evie: Everybody Wants To Rule The World by Lorde. Although I adore the original Tears For Fears version, I can totally hear Evie singing Lorde’s rendition and killing it.

Jacob: Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana. HOW CAN I NOT. THAT SONG IS TOTALLY JACOB. And I’m getting all flustered imagining Jacob screaming the lyrics (rocker!Jacob is totally a personal weakness). Alternatively: Well, Closer by Nine Inch Nails is already taken as his stripper song, but I think he’d still sing it 8D

I’m going with a more modern approach for each assassin, so imagine a Karaoke night with all these songs we have for you here! Also, you will find that I have a very… eclectic taste in music, hope you like it. Alright, here we go:

Desmond: Alphabet Aerobics by Blackalicious. I’m thinking Desmond likes Rap, R&B and related genres. He’s very good at Freestyle too!

Altair: Viva la Vida by ColdPlay. Altair’s sultry voice singing this… oh yes. Plus, it describes him.

Ezio: Rock your Body by Justin Timberlake. I mean doesn’t this scream Ezio all over? Plus I can see him dancing his way too.

Connor: Renegades by X Ambassadors. I’m thinking Connor would be into most types of rock and I feel this song fits him very well.

Aveline: Empire by Shakira. I think Aveline has the vocals to sing this song and it sounds like her too.

Edward: Conquistador by 30 seconds to Mars. I think he would enjoy some rock from time to time and the strength of this songs speaks Edward all over.

Adéwalé: Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. Modern headcanon: Adé really loves MJ’s songs and dances to them freely. Believe me.

Shay: In the Dark by 3 Doors Down. I really like this song and I think Shay would deliver a great performance. Plus is sexy too.

Haytham: The way you look tonight by Frank Sinatra, sung by Tony Bennett. Haytham’s sultry and smooth voice, with a slow song. Sign me up!

Arno: Sugar by Maroon 5. It’s sweet, it’s cute and it’s romantic. It’s just like our French baguette named Arno.

Shao Jun: Titanium by David Guetta ft. Sia. Shao Jun may look like the quiet type, but I bet she can pull out these vocals just fine.

Arbaaz: Rap God by Eminem. Love the song and yes, Arbaaz voice would so ace this. I think he would like it too.

Evie: Castle by Halsey. It’s mysterious, but a strong song and I think it represents Evie as well.

Jacob: Angel of Small Death & The Codeine Scene by Hozier, because I love this song, and imagining Jacob singing it gives me the chills. Good Lord…

A very silly question for the lovely Signora Paola: Describe the Philippine Yema for the foreign lurkers of this blog.

Ah, yes. The yema. Like plenty of our native delicacies, the name has a Spanish origin (meaning “yolk”). It is a custard candy made of egg yolks and sweetened condensed milk usually shaped like a triangle as seen above. The taste is so popular there are actually yema cakes and even yema-filled buns. Being that it’s a Philippine delicacy, the sweetness of the condensed milk isn’t enough; we need to add more sugar in there. If you want a real sugar high in one bite, then get one of these.

If any one of our Assassins (and Templars) get to taste one of these it would be interesting to see who among them would love or hate it.

What’s you ladies’ favorite AC game?

AC: Unity, as the French Revolution (or France) is my favorite topic for a game and the storyline was fine as well. Not to speak about a certain baguette…

For a while it was Assassin’s Creed II, but AC3 has become my current fav. I still really love AC2. It’s really hard to pick one or the other, so I love both.

Now, for me choosing a favorite game is very hard. I’ve been playing these games since 2007 when the first came out and I’ve loved every single one of them. But If I were to choose: ACII, AC Brotherhood, ACIII, AC Syndicate are the ones I’ve invested more time playing, so you could say they’re my favorites.

This is tough because I usually distinguish between favourites according to category (like which game is the most fun, which game has the best storyline, etc.). But like Claudia I’d choose these games because they’re the ones I invested the most time playing: AC2, AC Brotherhood, AC3, and AC Syndicate.

Ignoring all the little technical details (like Paola, it’s not really as simple as ‘favorite’ for me, there’s setting and story and game play and graphics, etc) and going only for “What game do I find myself coming back to the most”, it’s probably a toss up between Syndicate and Rogue for me. (Gee, who could have foreseen that.) Even putting aside any other opinions I may have of Shay and Evie, I just genuinely enjoy spending time in those worlds and with those characters even if I’m not doing anything more than pointlessly terrorizing London or watching other ships battle.

That does indeed sound like something Jacob would do with his outfit. Although as uncaring as he was about his appearance when he first came to London, he then started dressing more like the people there – tophats, coats with intricate embroideries, waistcoats and shirts – obviously tweaking it all according to his personality. So I like to think in modern day he’d know how to throw on tailored suits from time to time. I mean imagine Mr Frye, and all the other assassins in modern suits hnnnn

Signora Paola, how do you think modern day Jacob would dress? I adore your rendition of how modern day Jacob acts in your SH drabbles but fashion is such a big thing for me that I’m curious what he’d wear and how he’d groom himself. I imagine he wouldn’t have his sideburns grown anymore since they’re not trending these days…

Tbh I think Jacob would have a “idgaf what you think I’m wearing this” approach to fashion. I’m not saying that he would be a bad dresser and would just wear things haphazardly, of course! At the risk of sounding “safe” I think he would gravitate towards modern steampunk with a touch of that wild rock star look. Since I headcanon modern Jacob as well-travelled I think he had gone to Japan several times and would have probably taken a liking to labels like h.NAOTO. He’d probably also get a few tips from Harajuku street fashion given his rebellious side. Nothing too ostentatious, but just enough to raise Evie’s eyebrows and send his significant other into a panic ~/o/

As for grooming, again I think he has a “as long as I look good in it I don’t care what the fashion trends are” approach to it. I mean, we all know that aside from being a rebel he’s also a bit of a narcissist so I can imagine him as someone who would take it as a challenge to make something outdated look good again. At least something that looks good on him (and him alone lmao).

In short: Modern Jacob is totally a wannabe rock star 😀

Some month ago I was actually seriously thinking of ending my life… For many personal reasons and actually, will you believe it or not, this blog made me feel better… I am in love with Arno and, during my bad times, I was often imagining him giving me a hug and caressing my hair too sooth me… And, when my depression was taking over, I was going on this blog confort myself… (Please, make the Nôtre-Dame love scene one something special… I, ended, “survived the Revolution” with Arno)

Well I think Edward Kenway and Adéwalé are quite used to the whole tatts and piercings idea, since they are pirates after all ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I think they’d just treat it like it’s simply there, due to how common they were among the pirate community. Although I do think they might tug and pull at nipple piercings in order to tease every now and then.

I also think Desmond would be kind of secretly deviant and get a Prince Albert piercing on his pene, hehehehe~ show it off to whomever comes across it…

I think Connor, Aveline, Haytham, Shay, Arno, and Evie would be taken aback at first. Perhaps they’d even be concerned about the tenderness of your skin during the first several days. Especially when it’s a nipple piercing! I can imagine them being a little horrified about it. At least at first. 8D

Desmond, Altair, Ezio, Edward, Adewale, Shao Jun, Arbaaz, and Jacob would be totally cool with it though. I can even imagine them becoming curious enough that they’d want to get those piercings themselves.

I think all of them would play with those piercings during sex; it’s just the question of how often (and how rough 8D) they’d play. I can see Altair, Edward, Adewale, and Jacob playing a little rough and would constantly sneak in a few tugs and pulls every chance they get even outside the bedroom. ;D

Desmond, Altair, Ezio, Aveline, Edward, Adéwalé, & Arbaaz would be more into piercings. I think they would be very open minded when it comes to achieving sexual pleasure by other means, like piercings. They would be happily surprised and curious when you tell them you got one, so they would ‘experiment’ as much as possible to see how they work. They may even get some for themselves. They also like tattoos, but piercings really turn them on.

Connor, Shay, Haytham, Arno Shao Jun, Evie & Jacob would be more into tattoos. Now don’t get me wrong, they would like your piercings ( and play with them), of course, but it’s something about tattoos that really spikes their arousal. They would trace their fingers and mouths through them, noticing how much more sensitive your skin is there.
