Submission questions
- Do you accept sweet, fluffy confessions?
The idea of the blog is to share your dirtiest, deepest secrets to us, so no–we don’t accept them, unfortunately. Take a look at our Allies page for blogs that post such confessions. - Do you accept queer confessions?
Yes, it doesn’t matter if you are gay, straight, bi, or any other o–we accept confessions from all sexual orientations! - I’m very shy went it comes to sexuality/may I send my confessions anonymously?
We understand you very well, and you’ll be happy to know that we accept both anonymous and non-anonymous confessions. - May we use fan arts for our own edits?
If it’s your own art then yes, but if it’s fan art by someone else, you must ask permission first, since some artists are very sensitive of people using their art. - May I submit a confession regarding just the characters?
Yes you may–just make sure it’s a dirty one! In the case of the drabbles for the Secluded Haystack, sorry but it’s not allowed. - May I submit a confession with an OC (original character)?
Of course, we welcome OCs as long as a character from the games is mentioned in the confession. - May I submit a confession with a certain kink?
We welcome any kinks as long as they don’t break our rules. We will tag them accordingly so that our patrons can block/blacklist whichever they don’t like. - I don’t want to see a specific kink–how can I block it?
You can use add-ons like Tumblr Savioror New Xkit to block/blacklist any specific kinks we post. We tag kinks and trigger warnings as shown in this example: #Kink: incest, #Tw Incest - I see in your rules that you do not allow voice actor-related confessions. Why is that?
While we do our fair share of fan-boying/fan-girling over the lovely and talented voice actors of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, we would rather have the blog focused on fictional characters, and not the real people that took part in their creation. This means that we will welcome confessions that solely focus on the person’s voice, but not confessions that involve the person him/herself. This also extends to discussions about these voice actors’ personal lives–we would rather discuss their professional work and not speculate or examine what they do in their lives. As this blog has gotten more popular, we are sometimes visited by the voice actors themselves, so we find it prudent to respect their personal space. - My confession isn’t long enough for Secluded Haystack (which has a minimum word count of 600 words). But it’s also too long for the ask box! How can I submit it?
Send us your confession in multi-parts–just remember to put a header before your confession (like ‘Part 1’ and ‘Part 2’).
You may also send it to us via our confessional booth here. Please note that in general, we can fit around 50-70 words in an image. If your confession has more than that, then we would have to cut it and paste the whole confession in the text caption accompanying the image. - I want to submit a confession for my birthday / I want to submit a confession for my favourite character’s birthday. Do you accept them?
Yes, we do! However, please have the courtesy to send us your confession at least 3 days before the birthday. Editing them takes time and working on them really depends on our schedules.
Published confessions questions
- Are confessions/drabbles of a certain character on queue? I want more!
It all depends on what our patrons send us. If you wish to see more of a specific character, then we encourage you to send in your confessions! - I don’t want to scroll pages and pages of confessions! I want to read confessions about a specific character, how do I do it?
You can do so by going to our Dirty Secrets Index. There, you can find links of the tags for all the characters that have received confessions so far. - I keep seeing many confessions for [this Assassin’s Creed character] being posted too many times! I don’t like/don’t care for this character; where are the confessions for myfavorite character?
While we admins do have our own personal preferences, we strive to make posts as fair as possible so that everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy. We do not show favoritism to one character, series, or couple. The types of confessions shown on this blog also depend on the number of confessions we get for certain characters. If you don’t see too many being posted for your character, then that means that the general public has shown more interest in [their particular favorite characters] than [your favorite character] at that point in time—kind of like how Twitter has its ’trending’ topics, sometimes our blog will reflect that as well. One week, we might have Arno Dorian be the ‘trend-setter’ on our blog and make everyone else come in 2nd place, 3rd place, etc. while another week, we might have Evie Frye ‘trending’ our blog, and so on.We post confessions based on what we receive in our inbox, so if you don’t see too many for your character on any given week, then by all means please feel free and don’t be discouraged in sending us your confessions for that character! We would prefer if you do your part in helping us by helping yourself, and minimizing the complaints we get for this blog. We always encourage everyone to send in confessions for anyone about anything, as long as it follows the rules! We love diversity and we’re always looking to diversify the character representations on our tag list. - I sent a confession some time ago, but I don’t see it. Where is it?
If you haven’t seen your confession yet, it’s because of either one or more of the following:
- The confession didn’t go through/tumblr ‘ate’ your message and you’ll have to send it again
- We haven’t had time to make a graphic edit for it yet
- It got shuffled in the Queue to help spread out confession types
- It was offensive/didn’t follow our guidelines
Do note that while we admins will generally post confessions that fall within the rules, we still reserve the right to reject confessions, especially ones that fall in the grey area. We will discuss and confer with each other to reach a decision, and such decision will be final.
