I have to say this because I’m dying to squee to someone about it; last weekend (27-39th May) it was MCM London. Paul was there all 3 days, but I saw him on Sunday. I had drawn a picture of him, using new mediums, and was super nervous as I’ve never shown the subject of my art the piece before. He was gobsmacked, appreciative and reached across the table to hug me, and insisted on a selfie! I was floating on air the entire time! (I could submit the art?)

Sorry for the late reply; our Drafts lately have been a swarm of head-canon questions, dirty questions, and just regular ol’ replies like yours…so forgive us for taking forever to respond!

Eeeeee I’m glad you got to see him! I wish I did; I know @queen-bela had a blast handing over all the Dirty AC Secrets stuff to him. ;P

Gosh I’d be super nervous, too. I’m like that with both my art and music; it’s unsettling to not know what they would really think. Most of the time we’d have thoughts of them thinking that it’s stupid or silly, when it really isn’t. So I’m glad that Paul reacted the way he did; consider yourself lucky and blessed!

And please, do feel free to show us your art (and the pic with Paul as well, if possible). ♥

I’ve just visited the tag lists and I must say a huge thank you to Paola who worked so hard doing this beautiful site even more beautiful! It upsets me that people continue asking dull questions and wasting mods’ time instead of looking through those well-done guidelines that Paola made! (o^ ^o) You never cease to amaze me with you skills in designing and your dedication to this blog! I hope everybody thinks the same. I love all of you, girls, but I had to say it personally to Paola! Grazie mille, my friend! It’s nice to see the actual blog appreciated. I say “actual blog” because I don’t consider the one that people see in the Tumblr app as the REAL one. The problem with the app is it completely deprives anyone of the blog’s full features.

Why did I mention the Tumblr app at all, you may ask. Because we are beginning to highly suspect that most (if not all) people who send us questions already addressed in our FAQ or even our own rules have likely only browsed our blog with the Tumblr app. The recent census results have already proven that there is a very high majority of people using their mobile devices to browse the blog, and it’s very likely that most of them are using the app (and not using their web browsers).

It is extremely disheartening, to be honest, because as someone who has designed websites for nearly 20 years now I’m very particular with how a website should be experienced. I’ll do everything to make sure that the website I’ve designed is cross-browser friendly, etc. But the app completely deprives me of this. I cannot control a user’s experience and make it optimal for them. We are basically under the mercy of Tumblr itself because the app severely limits our options.

Which is why we have done all we can to make sure that the app users are aware of our subpages. Those “Got a question?” and “On Mobile?” links you see aren’t just there for decoration. We added them there because that’s the only way we can have our app users see what they’re missing.

And I’m not even including the fact that using the app completely deprives anyone of certain other features – like our birthday reminder script, and even our music player. You can’t even use nifty extras like xKit with the app!

Ah, I’ve rambled way too much. I apologise! ;^_^ This is really a problem for us. I believe we are not alone when we say that the Tumblr app needs a LOT of work to be even at par on how we view Tumblr and its blogs with actual computers.

Grazie, and thank you so much for reading!

Sometimes i wish there were more x Male! Readers with the assassins, but then i realise the majority of the followers of this blog are females. Ahh well, i’ll have to write my own dirty stories ;P

June 20, 2016

You and me both lol

There’s something about fan fiction in general that tends to have more female writers than male…I don’t know why. It also doesn’t help that the AC games themselves have more male characters than female.

I think of all the fiction websites I’ve ever come across and read stuff on, LitErotica.com is the only one I know where male writers slightly outnumber the female ones.

I think I can also tell when a story is written by a guy or a lady…it might sound stereotypical but it’s a pattern I’ve noticed: female-written stories tend to have more emotional aspects to them, sometimes even romantic parts, while male-written stories read up like something straight out of a porno, with hardly any kissing or so. I guess what I’m trying to explain is that there seems to be a lot of ‘male gazing’ going on, parts that guys would find more interesting than women. So I as a female admin could care less about, especially if it were to be a reader-insert that focuses on me being immersed in the story.

But then again, it could just be me, as the only male-written stories I’ve sample have all been from LitErotica or independent writer blogs. I think there are some women on here who might be interested in writing Male-reader stories…although me personally, I’m afraid I’d just get it all wrong and some things, guys might not just be interested in (seriously, I really don’t know that many men that read Harlequin romance/erotica-style novels–which it seems like what a ton of female-reader stories tend to become as well).

I guess this is why Fifty Shades of Grey is so popular among women, despite it being the worst-written of all erotica.

But hey who knows, if you submit even at least one, maybe we’ll get more men to lurk around here. 😛 As I’ve said, LitErotica.com has some decent examples of many male-written stories.

Hey ladies and gents, I honestly love this blog, but unfortunately I have to say, that I find the confessions about Jack the Ripper disturbing. He WAS a real serial killer after all, even though he was never found. He killed, tortured and mutilated women in the most terrible way and so he shouldn´t be an object of sexual fantasies, if you ask me. No matter if he was part of the game or not, I can´t understand how somebody can actually fantasize about him. Sorry, that I have to say that.

We are posting today to let our wonderful bordello guests know about a rule change here at the Rosa in Fiore. We hope those of you directly affected by this change will read beyond the change to understand why we have made it, and will continue to support us.

As of this posting, we will no longer accept Jack the Ripper submissions, or any submissions that involve abusive scenarios. Any previously sent before this posting will run through the queue.

It is very important for us, as moderators, to maintain Dirty Assassin’s Creed Secrets as a safe place for people to explore their sexuality without judgement or shame. We are not making the change to the rules in an attempt to shame or judge our hybristophiles, which is how Jack the Ripper confessions are classified. This change in the rules is not an attack on you, your sexuality, or what makes your juices flow.

However, a safe place is a two-way street. We have received some feedback, in addition to the one we have shared above, from some of our viewers expressing discomfort with Jack the Ripper confessions. What Jack the Ripper did more than a century ago in Whitechapel was horrific and awful.

While we know those who write confessions about Jack are not thinking about how he carved up his victims, some of our readers, including one of us here amongst the moderators, are survivors of sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse and spousal abuse. Every time a confession involving Jack comes up, they think about what he did, how what happened in our own lives mirrors what Jack did.

For them, lustful confessions about Jack the Ripper being persuaded to not kill the confessor and bruises being worth it is not only discomforting, it is triggering.

When we, as moderators, try to balance out a safe place for our Jack the Ripper confessors and those negatively affected by the confessions, the scale weighs in favour of those adversely affected. Not sharing Jack the Ripper confessions hurts no one, while sharing them can actually cause upset or emotional trauma.

Again, we cannot emphasize enough that this is not a judgement against those of our confessors who lean toward hybristophilia. Nor do we think any of us here behind the curtain, or our guests, believe our hybristophiles want to cause emotional harm to our guests – and in fact, would be appalled to know they may have done so.

In the end, however, we’ve decided to elect to be on the more cautious side, and we hope that you, our patrons, will understand our decision.

For those whose confessions will no longer be posted, we say this: You are not alone in your desires. There’s a term for it, after all. In fact, here’s a link to a Tumblr group for hybristophiles. Read at your own risk. We are not partners with this blog.

As a final note, we ask that if you are going to comment on this post, whether in favour or against this decision, you remain respectful. Those who are in favour should not shame those who are affected by this decision.

Thank you,
The ladies and gent of Rosa in Fiore

Do you guys keep records or your workshop sessions on somewhere? I keep on missing it I’m very busy. Thank you!

June 19, 2016

Oh my gosh my first fanmail, I’m so excited!

I’m sorry you haven’t been able to come to the workshops. I’m working on a longer-term solution to have them available for those who miss them, though within a day I usually have a recap appended to the original posting. But I think I might have to do something easier to find than that, especially since I included slides this time. So! TLDR: Working on it! – Rosa

Also: I tag any posts on the topic with “hypatia writing 101,” since when I started these I wasn’t quite Rosa yet.
