DACS Greatest Hits

This may seem a little random, and not really related to the blog itself, but I was wondering… Is AC Unity worth playing?

February 12, 2016

I must say, Anon, despite the fact that I loved Arno even before I actually played the game: I would say ‘YES’ !

The rest will be under a cut, the following text is an opinion of Sister Teodora and does not represent the blogs opinion overall!

Truthfully I admit, that the love story between Élise and him would have been a little bit better as a very good friendship (aka brother/sister-like) but that is another topic. Arno himself is a little rebel, just like Shay.

And saying, he was a good assassin, would be a lie.

A good assassin would follow the rules of the brotherhood, being blind in every possible way. But Arno, he was not. He saw the truth behind the creed, broke rules and was not blind. He saw both sides of the medal: The templars and the assassins and knew that his surrogate father (who was, just to mention, a templar) was a very kind man, and that there are shadows and villains on both sides (like e.g. Pierre Bellec who did something bad to the brotherhood ‘to protect it’)

O-Tone from him: “I would burn down whole Paris to protect the Brotherhood”

What I wanted to say: The story is superb. I wasn’t a fan on how naive Arno was regarding Élise – she was a strong woman and he thought, that she would give up her revenge and her (idk) whole being (?) to be with him. Which was not the case. The only minus point he had, but what man is perfect? And to be honest it only makes him cuter.

Regarding the gameplay I suggest to buy the game for the XBox One as it runs without bugs, glitches or overall graphic problems. I do not know if you have a PS4, but that would be my recommendation 😉

Hope that helped a little bit.
